Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Replacing A/C Evaporater, dodge ram 1500, haynes manaul

I need to replace the A/C evaporater in my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/5.9L.  I have alot of experience with working on vehicles except with the a/c system.  Are there any hints or tricks to make this go smoothely?  I also have my Haynes manaul that i always use,  is there anything in there that they might have missed that someone more experienced might know.  Thank you for your help.

Hello Brad, I can tell you that job entails removing the dash to get to the a/c evaporator housing.There really is no short cut process. If you got time and patience try it.
If not,let only a a/c shop tackle that one.If a shop does it, at least you have a warranty to fall back on. Total time may take you two days to complete.
