I have the new compressor on,,but havent attached the lines,,,do I need to flush the system,I assume just run the solvent through once one way?,,I have an evaporator as well,,,,I cant figure what looks like a snap connection to it,(a flattened disc and a clip),,how do you disconnect one of those,must be NASA,,,,,I see where you advised to dump the comp oil and measure it,,,,,what little info came with it said it just had assembly oil,,,the comp oil is delivered under vaccum?.....thanks,,,,hot here,,,,,,,,,,,collins

dump out the oil from the new compressor and install new oil in the same amount that you drained from the old compressor into the new compressor OR you can use the vacuum method, It is just a matter of preference.

You can get the cheap plastic tools to seperate the evap fittings at any auto parts store.

Don't forget to remove the orifice tube (if applicable before you flush your lines and install a new one when your ready to put it back together.

On some occassions you do not get all the debris out of the system and after a week or two the air starts to get warm. Just dump all the freon and inspect the orifice tube and you will find it full of debris. Either clean it with air or replace it.
