Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Auto A/C repair, electronic leak detector, atmospheric air

Question
My A/C doesn't blow cool/cold air. I added the R134A coolant to the recommended level, to no effect. I bought the "christmas tree" set of gauges, and need to know where to go from there.

Answer
The first thing you need to do is determine via an electronic leak detector if you have any freon leaks in any of the components. especially the evaporator where you will have to put the sensor of the detector into the condensation drain hole on the bottom of the evap housing because freon is heavier than air and the leak will be coming out of the ervap drain.

Once you have established tat you positively have no leaks, Or if you have been simply adding freon fro seberal months you may have a leak that you have to practically recharge the whole system with 2 or 3 cans of freon it is highly likely that you have some atmospheric air that has gotten into the ac system and the system needs to be dis-charged , rechecked for leaks and then recharged IF no leaks are found.

There is the possibility that the ac controller that opens and closes the damper door flap in small increments may have a faulty electric motor on it and it is not adjusting the door properly.

If I knew the make-year-model of vehicle I might be able to provide additional help.
