Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Heater Malfunction, foreign car, hot air

Question
I don't know whether or not you would consider a Mitsubishi Eagle Talon a foreign car. If not, I have a friend who owns a 1994 Eagle Talon and complains about heat suddenly filling the cabin without the heater controls being engaged. She took it to a reputable local air conditioning repair shop that kept it for a week and said that they couldn't replicate the problem. I drove it for quite a while last evening. The only observation that I had was that the AC blew warm air. Again, my understanding is that with no controls on, the car unexplainedly blows warm to hot air.

Answer
Unless the repair facility can duplicate the problem when they have it in their shop, All they would be doing is guessing and replacing part after part after part and eventually they will hit the faulty part.

Meanwhile you have spent probably $1500.00 in parts and labor that you did not need.
