Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Installing a/c in 1951 DeSoto, desoto custom, quality kit

Hi. I just purchased a 1951 DeSoto Custom, and I was wondering how difficult it is to find a person who would install a/c and about how much you think it might run, or what my options might be.

First check around the internet to see if you can find a compant that sells a KIT that will fit your vehicle. Installing it is really not that big of a project.

I have installed numerous KITS on older vehicles and have run into very few problems when a QUALITY kit was purchased. Expect to pay about $1200.00 for a QUALITY kit as this will contain EVERYTHING that you will need to do the job correctly.
