I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler and the A/C drain pan is leaking into the passenger side floorboard. I have attempted to clean out the drain tube and it does not appear to be clogged. I have cleaned the drain pipe back to about 10”. The water is leaking where the pipe goes through the firewall. Can the pipe have a hole in it and if so is there a way to seal it?
Answer -
Are you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that your leak is condensation water from the A/C evaporator or is it ANTI-FREEZE from the heater core ?.

Let me know.

It is water coming from around the seal where the A/C evaporator drain goes through the firewall. I was thinking about applying plumbers puddy or some other sealer around the seal, but I am afraid that that my cause more problems. When we run the a/c on an extended trip, water also drips from the heater vents (in the floor). What is involved in removing the evaporator drain to clean it out?

Answer
Apparently the tube has come out of position within the main housing and the drain is either mispositioned and or cracked inside the housing.

The only way to properly fix it is to remove the complete housing assembly and see what is cracked, mispositioned or where the seal is leaking where the tw halves of the air distribution box is mounted together.
