Answer
You should NOT have to ADD any spacers or washers when installing the new compressor.

Everything that came OFF with the old compressor should be all you need to install the new one. You can cause the serpentine belt(s) to be mis-aligned by adding spacers or flat washers and you will start shredding the belts constantly due to mis-alignment.

QUESTION: I HOPE you FLUSHED out the entire A/C system, Installed a new orifice tube, Added the EXACT AMOUNT OF NEW REFRIGERANT oil to the new compressor BEFORE you attempt to turn ON the A/C system.

If you did NOT do all of these MUST DO procedures, You are going to have SERIOUS cooling problems.

If you have ANY foreign debris in the system it will get stuck in the new compressor and damage it.

You CANNOT just simply throw on a new compressor without doing additional procedures.
