Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1996 A/C, pressure switch, electrical connector

My 1996 Tahoe's compressor is not turning. I tested the wires at the compressor and there is no power to it. Fuse at box is good and there is power at the fusebox. Is ther a relay or something between the box and compressor?

On the accumulator (receiver/drier) you will see a 2 wire electrical connector which is your LOW PRESSURE SWITCH. Disconnect this connector and jumper the wires together within the plug and see if the compressor engages. If it does you have one of 2 problems;

1. The system is low on FREON.

2. The LOW PRESSURE switch is faulty
