Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Air Conitioner, toyota highlander, high humidity

Question
2001 Toyota Highlander....
AC works fine until the afternoon of a HOT (95 degree Plus day) (Tucson AZ) works OK then, until I get stopped in traffic waiting for a light.then the air duct Temp goes up to 80 degress + then when I get going agin never drops below 70.
Syptoms are: both engine fans going, compressor engaged, sight glass clear, low side @ 50 PSi, High side @ 370 PSI, duct temp 72, outside temp 98, humidity 20%

Answer
According to my chart and the type of vehicle this is about all your going to get out of the A/C with the readings you gave me. The pressures and vent temps are exactly as calculated on my chart.

What you might want to do is to put a larger PUSHER fan IN FRONT of the condensor to help force more air thru the condensor.

I have the same problem whenm you get these high temps and high humidity city driving occurances and I added a large pusher fan on my vehicle and it makes a difference.
