Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1990 Toyota Camry AC, 1990 toyota camry, r 134a refrigerant

Question
My Camry has been retrofited to 134a with new receiver/dryer. I notice that it became warm so I add more refrigerant but it only takes half a can.  I check for leaks then vacuum and recharge but it only takes half a can .  On the low side, it shows 65 PSI a long time even I close the valve on the can (reading is very low when I remove then reconnect the gauge); no reading available on the high side.  What is wrong and why ?  What can I do ?  Thanks

Answer
You need to install a set of A/C gages so you can monitor BOTH the LOW and HIGH side pressures.

How MUCH R-134a refrigerant oil did you install into the system BEFORE you recharged it ?.

You could have to much refrigerant oil in the system.

To much freon.

A faulty expansion valve (orfice tube).

How much R-134a refrigerant did you add to the receiver/drier ?.
