Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Clarification, magnetic clutch, power steering hose

Question

Answer -
You seem to have covered the pressure sensors. See if there is a PRESSURE SENSOR/SWITCH located on the power steering hose and disconnect it as this switch disengages the A/C compressor when high pressure develops i the power steering system such as when you make a maximum right or left turn.

Your next option would be to consult and electrical schematic of which I do not have or I would e-mail it to you.

there is the remote possibility that if you have tested all of the sensors and relays and they are all OK, That the transistor within the control box has fauled and you will need to replace it.

On the connection at the compressor magnetic clutch are you NOT gettting battery voltage or a GROUND signal  to the coil ?.

Hello Autohelp,

I will certainly look into your suggestions. The only pressure switch/sensor that I checked  is the one on the fatter aircon tubing (not sure if its the high pressure or low pressure side). I will look for the pressure switch on the power steering hose. Where is it usually  located, BTW? You said pressure sensors, is there others which I may overlooked.

As for the connection at the compressor magnetic clutch, I am not getting any battery signal or ground signal whenever my AC is not working . However, if I jumper the connections on the relay to force the compressor to turn ON, I get a battery (+12 V) signal at the compressor magnetic clutch connection. The clutch will then engage.

Thanks for all your help.

Answer
See if you can get me numerous pictures following BOTH of the A/C lines thruout the engine compartment and e-mail them to me at:

and I will try and identify all the sensors/switches and give you some tests to perform.
