Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Online Courses, evening classes, gages

He really needs to know everything he works at the county shop a self taught mechanic he was just offered a raise to learn air condition repair but our tech colllege only offers a full automotive class during the day. Thank You for your help.-------------------------

I do not know of any. 99% of a course like this takes hands on experience that you cannot get from a book. Try some of your local smaller colleges as some offer courses in autobile repair in all aspects as evening classes.

Answer
There is just no way to learn this skill from reading it out of a book. You have to be in a class or work with an A/C technician so you can get the HANDS ON experience of showing you how the gages can tell you what the problem IS and WHY it is occuring.

Contact some of the A/C facilities in your area and offer to HELP OUT the A/C technician on Saturdays or whenever it is convenient. You need someone to physically show you what to do and look for.

If you were here in New Mexico, I would be more than happy to teach you A/C repair.
