Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: auto air condition, vacuum line, highway speed

Question
 Air Conditioner at idle,at Highway speed it quits,back to idle it  works again. Or if you shut it off and restart it cools but quits as soon as it reachs 42 degrees.
