Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 2000 F-150 A/C problems, vacuum pump, heat level

Question
my 2000 ford air conditioning was working great last summer, it was verry cold untill 1 day it stopped being cold and was like it was on the coolest section on the heat level and was warm. I reacharged it but that didnt work, what might my problem be?

Answer
If you had to RECHARGE it then you must have a LEAK in the system.

Anytime you get a leak in the system you MUST:

1. Fix the leak.
2. Evacuate all the atmospheric air from the system using
  a vacuum pump.
3. Depending upon the size of the leak and the accumulator
  (receiver/drier) needs to be replaced.
4. Recharge the sytem with the EXACT amount of freon and
add any refrigerant oil that was lost due to the leak.
