Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/C issue, vacuum problem, chevrolet astro

Question
I have a 1994 Chevrolet Astro. When I run the AC and accelerate there is a change in the door configuration and the air quits blowing from the vents and blows into the floor instead. I assume this is some sort of vacuum problem, but don't know where to look. If it is any help, shortly after I bought it the cruise control began to do something similar. If you set it and went up a hill, it would gradually give way. Now it has quit completely. Any Suggestions??
Thanks!

Answer
Sounds like a broken vacuum line somewhere amoung the numerous vacuum lines. Locate an examine the vacuum line of which is usually a small BLACK PLASTIC TUBE that goes from the engine comparment thru the firewall and into the passengers compartment as this is a very common fault.

This vacuum line may be combined within the main wiring harness so look carefully.
