Question -
my blower motor for my heating and air will not work i just put a new one on and it dosent work also it is a 1994 chevy astro. about a month ago it would only work on high and now nothing. could it be the resistor. or do you have any other ideas.
Answer -
The RESISTOR controls all the speeds EXCEPT high. High speed by-passes the resistro. back track the wire from the blower motor to the plastic electrical connector in the engine harness and open the connectro and look for corrosion inside. Also check for battery voltage at this electrical connector. Check your fuses and also check for an open FUSIBLE LINK at the stater wires.
I FOUND THE FUSIBLE LINKS BUT HOW WOULD I CHECK THEM.

Answer
Take a standard 12 volt test ligth and check ABOVE the rubber portion of the fusible link where it is molded to the PLASTIC covered wir(s) and make SURE you have battery voltage.

Did you check the wiring BEFORE you installed a NEW motor or did you just assume it was the motor.
