Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Air Cond. fan, air cond, dodge intrepid

99 Dodge Intrepid

I have replaced the balants(sp?)resister on my air fan and it still goes out.  It works on high but not on lower speeds.  There must be something shorting out some where but can't locate at this time.  Would you have any idea what might causing the problem.

I believe you sre referring to the BLOWER FAN RESISTOR MODULE which looks like a couple of different sized coiled wires attached to a fibre plate.

Your fault is usually this module or the control switch on the dash.

The complete circuit needs to be tested for an exact cause.
