Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/C and heater display for 1999 Buick,, gm service manual, tommy richardson

Question
I have a 1999 Century Limited, the A/C and heater control display screen has gone blank, and can't see what setting i have it on.
Is there anyway i can take this out and repair it, i know this has been a big prob, with several models with this display, just goes blank.

FIRST you have to TEST to determine if it is BOTH displays or the programmer or the BCM or PCM.

The displays are basically DISPLAYS, just like your TV set in your house. Just because the picture goes out, Does not mean that the display (screen) is the fault. It could be the power supply on the main control board or the voltage regualtor on the control board.


NEXT you would need an electrical schematic of the inetrior components of the displays and they are NOT available.


Your ONLY choice is to GUESS, But I suggest that you obtain an ORIGINAL GM service manual for your make, model and year of vehicle and perform the TESTS to determine which component is faulty.
