This is not a DUAL system...only one set of climate controls that emits one level from all vents, but seems to have two distinct delivery passages...is actuator hidden inside unit?  besides two doors inside the lower passageways that open/close simultaneously, there is a linkage on top of delivery asembly right above the core area that barely moves with any climate settings of any type....i would think it should move more, or why would it be there at all...there is a programmer unit(vacuum tubes and elec wires) on right side of delivery unit, then core to the left, then delivery passages to the left of that..if any help..thank you

OK, They keep changing systems all the time and it is hard to keep up with all the changes unless I can physically see the vehicle.

OK, What you have is a PROGRAMMER MOTOR failure. That LINKAGE that you metioned is what opens and close the damper door.

The programmer SHOULD have tests performed but usuallt the PROGRAMMER must be replaced or in some cases the PROGRAMMER MOTOR can be replaced, But not to many people want to replace just the motor as they make more money on replacing a $250.00 programmer vs a $45.00 motor.

GREAT THANKS, BUT GONE THIS FAR,  WHERE IS THE PROGRAMMER MOTOR?  IN THE PROGRAMMER UNIT ON THE RIGHT SIDE?  BOOKS SHOW NO PICTURS..I'M GUESSING ITS BURIED IN THE UNIT BELOW THE LINKAGE THAT SHOWS ON THE TOP...

Answer
You stated: "there is a linkage on top of delivery asembly
right above the core area that barely moves
with any climate settings of any type.

QUESTION: Is this linkage made of metal and threaded on one end ?.

They make mid-yaer production changes and I want to be sure that we have the same programmer.

If you can get me some pictures of the programmer and this linkage, This would be a great help.
