Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Air Conditioning, solution possibilities, vacuum line

Question
The air conditioner pushes ice cold air when my suv (2003 Trailblazer) is moving steadily at 30 mph or more.

When I come to a stop the air goes from ice cold to a little cold. I increase the blower speed but this dosen't help. I also use the re-circulate button with no help.

The dealer tells me all is ok but some people are telling me it may have something to do with the air flow over the evaporator.

Can you help me with this?

Yhanks

Answer
A/C test gages and the knowledge of HOW to interpret the readings is the KEY to your solution.

Possibilities:

1. Damper door not functioning properly.

2. low refrigerant charge.

3. to HIGH refrigerant charge.

4. Radiator fan(s) or A/C fans not functioning properly depending upon what type of fan system you have on the vehicle.

Is this an AFTERMARKET A/C system ?.

5. vacuum line fault.

You COULD install an electric PUSHER fan in FRONT of the radiator.
