I am not getting heat, so I replaced the heater core, thermostat, water pump, and all the hoses..it will heat some times and then when u are going down the road it will start blowing cold air...then u can race up the motor and it will start again for a while...could the heater core be back...thanks for u'r help
Answer -
I do NOT understand this statement: " could the heater core be back ".

What mechanical work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made.

OK, How many miles are ON the vehicle ?.

i am sorry could the heater core be bad...i just had another motor put in the van...i had an intake manfold leak fixed on the old motor the shop drop a nut in the motor crack the block, so they put another motor in the van for   it has 48500 miles on that motor the van has 128000 miles on it..

Answer
Are you telling me that you put a JUNK YARD engine in this van ?. IF you had this over heating problem with the original engine and STILL have it with this JUNK YARD engine, My thoughts would be to start leaning towards the radiator being obstructed in the LOWER and MIDDLE coolant channels.

Yes, You CAN see the UPPER channels expelling coolant when you look into the radiator, But you CANNOT see IF the middle and LOWER channels are expelling coolant. IF this is the original radiator, I would remove the radiator, throw it in the trash, Flush out the entire coolant system and install a NEW radiator. I did NOT say to have your worn out OLD radiator FIXED, I said TRASH IT and install a NEW one.
