Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: heating problems, flow control valve, toyota celica

Question
Have a 1990 toyota celica manual transmission that puts out heat occasionally.  Fan works.  Already replaced the thermostat.  Radiator has also been replaced since that was a big problem.  Heater core gets warm but hoses don't seem to.  Live in northern WI so heat is a must.

Answer
Did you replace the radiator with a USED or REBUILT one ?.

Fan works !. Which FAN ?.

Tell me you DID FLUSH out the heater core BEFORE you replaced the radiator.

Did you look for a FLOW CONTROL VALVE in any of the 2 heater hoses ?.

Have you or are you having any excessive engine temperature problems or is it maintaining approx 220 degrees ALL the time ?.
