Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: heater fan, toyota carrola, squirrel cage

My heater fan started to make noise like it was loose on the motor shaft, after a couple of days I had the fan on high, and after awhile it got louder and louder then it stopped, the motor was still turning, as you can hear it, but not the fan.Do you think the fan came loose, and is this a big job to fix? Toyota, Carrola, 1988 in excellent condition, with low mileage, 104,000

This is a very simple repair. Go to most any auto parts store and purchase the blower motor and the fan (squirrel cage). This will show you what you are looking for on your vehicle.

Make sure that you disconnect the battery BEFORE you go digging around moving things in order to access the blower motor.
