Question -
I have a  98 Buick Century 3.1L V6. the heater takes quite a while to work and then doesnt work well. I have checked my coolant level and it is fine. Could it be the thermostat? or the heating coil. I am not sure where either are located. I would appreciate any and all advice
Thanks

Are BOTH heater hose HOT to the touch when the engine is at normal operating temperature ?.

Is your problem whereas you have no AIR flow thru the dash vents or is the air just NOT hot enough ?.

What mechanical work has been performed on this vehicle recently ?.
I dont think the hoses are hot, i do have good air flow but it is cold even after the car has been running for 30 min to an hour. i had the radiator flushed about 3 to 4 months ago.

Answer
You stated: " I dont think the hoses are hot".

QUESTION: Start the vehicle and wait until it gets to normal operating temperature and turn ON the heater to FULL speed and FEEL the hoses.

let me know.

What other mechanical work has been performed on this vehicle recently ?.
