Followup To the motor sound and the clicking is coming from in side the plenum box, heater box unable to view the motor or the part making the noise.please accept my thanks and keep trying. nick
Question -
1998 lincoln towncar auto climate control problem just started overnite. no ac out the vents but plenty of hot air. ac suction line cold  ..small motor sound and clicking  going on in heater box.checked all relays and dont have a clue ,,, need help! thanks nick

If you can take some pictures of the component that is making this clicking noise, I can indicate on your pictures of EXACTLY what your problem is.

Look for a WHITE PLASTIC arm that has a metal rod connected to it and take some pictures and e-mail them to me at:

Once I have your pictures or I can send you some of mine that show this WHITE PLASTIC piece as described above It makes my job much easier than trying to type you an answer as a picture is worth a thousand words.

I KNOW what your problem IS, But trying to explain it is almost impossible. If you take out the glove box liner you will be able to see this WHITE PLASTIC arm with the metal rod attached to it.

The FIX is fairly easy.
