Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: no heat from vents, dodge 1500, engine temp

1997 dodge 1500 5.2 engine with a/c
heater temp knob turn to max heat system blows cool air.

What was the LAST repair on the vehicle ?. ANY repair of any nature ?. In most cases problems that arise days, weeks or even months later can usually be traced back to the previous repair.


In most cases it id the fault of the DAMPER DOOR vacuum and or electronic controller being faulty or inoperative due to a wiring problem or a problem within the A/C-Heater control unit.

You will need to look up under the dash and as you shift the controls back and forth from heat to a/c watch to see if the DAMPER DOOR controller is moving.

Are BOTH heater hoses hot to the touch at normal operating engine temp ?.

Are you having or had any A/C problems from when it was new up to now ?.
