QuestionI have a 90 lexus ls400, bought reman ac compressor & dryer installed,had system convert over to new r34, ac intially worked,then ac light began blinking on dash controls,called lexus tech, they said remans are no good, thats your problem,my non lexus mechanic says compressor works,that is, it will cool down, however radiator
fans donot run,and according to him they should be running while ac compressor is engaged & running,to prevent over heating & pressure thus building up in lines & system,so in a nut shell ac dash control light blinks, radiator fans dont work while ac is on, mechanic cant figure out why the fans are not running or why light is flashing,
AnswerIf this is the same mechanic who tells you he does not know what wrong and he installed the compressor, Then I would look for a different mechanic one who specializes in A/C repair.
Your problem may be caused by any number of faults that would take hours to list them all.
Your stuck with finding a reputable A/C facility to do the diagnostic procedures to find the cause of your problem.
I live in New Mexico and travel up to 200 miles for sevearl facilities that run into problems that they just cannot find the cause.
