I have a 1992 4Cylinder Toyota Camry. I had my air conditioning switch from R-12 to R-134a.Now its not getting cold anymore so I tried to put some more r-134a into.I just can't seem to put the stuff in there.I've tried everything.I connected the can to the charger snap the other end to the low port and turned on my car and a/c to maximum. When I put the charger on the low port the gauge goes all the way up to about 100 and something why is that but the freon still comes out but I guess its not getting in
because my air conditioning is still blowing hot air. Can you please help?
Answer -
You most likely have a leak and all the refrigerant was expeled from the system.

Are you POSITIVE that when you select A/C, Is the A/C compressor running (ON) ?

If your showing 100 on he LOW SIDE this indicates that the A/C compressor is NOT running (ON).

Let me know IF the compressor is running.

How can you tell if the compressor is running. When I press the A/C button the motor or something gets higher.

Answer
1. Start the engine.

2. Turn the A/C to max air and blower to LOW speed.

3. Open the vehicles hood so you can look at the compressor.

4. Is the compressor cycling ON and OFF ?.

5. Are ANY of the A/C hoses/metal line(s) COLD to the
  touch ?.

Let me know.
