Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1995 Buick Riviera Climate control blower, 1995 buick riviera, e mail address

Question
The blower on the airconditioning in my 1995 Buick Riviera won't stop running when the car is turned off.  I've found a fuse under the back seat that will stop it, but how do I fix it?  Where are the relays on this model?  Thanks!

Answer
A fuse under the back seat ?. I have never seen this type of setup. This must be something that someone added and can thus complicate a diagnosis.

The most common fault of this type is that the BLOWER CONTROL MODULE has failed internally of which is quite common. The fault for the module failure is in most cases caused by the BLOWER MOTOR of which provides air thru your A/C and heater ducts within the passengers compartment.

Due to this unusual FUSE that you have found needs to be diagnosed as to WHY and WHAT FOR it was installed.

Under normal circumstances and not involving this added on fuse, The below components are the usual items that require replacement.

1. The blower motor. (approx $45.00)
2. The blower motor control module. (approx $140.00)

Let me know.
