I just got this bass hound 10.2 and the trolling motor needs a battery.i want it to be cheap and affordable but last long and is reliable.

Hi Gabe....The battery that would be most suited for your trolling motor application in my opinion, is referred to as a "Deep Cycle Battery". They have a great reserve for power, and perform very well under almost all weather and temperature conditions, which is exactly what is needed when trolling on the water. These batteries are also recommended for RV's, as they also rely on reserve power under all types of conditions. Check out your local Auto supply retail outlets, as they should be able to point you in the right direction as to required cranking amps, reserve power available, price, etc..
