Auto body repair & detailing: car cleanin, baking soda, passengers seat

Question
i have a weird situation that you can hopefully help with. i removed the carpet from my camaro to vacuum them and left them out of the car for a couple days. i was then driving and made a sudden stop where a bag sitting in the passengers seat shot out with some baking soda that spilled onto the carpet and mixed with a drink that spilled. i did not know this happened at the time, and found out a couple days later (i dont drive my car daily). now the baking soda has dried into the carpet. if i wanted to clean the car myself, what would be the best way to do so?

Answer
Hi Alex!....I would suggest heading down to your local supermarket, and pick up some household carpet and stain cleaner....Follow the directions on the label, and make sure when applying the product and scrubbing, that you work from the outside of the stain towards the inside...Therefore containing it, and not spreading the stain out even further....Re-apply if necessary....If you are not satisfied with results, you might like to check out a local vehicle detail shop....They should be able to help you out further....Thanks....Dave
