Auto body repair & detailing: Front bumper, steel bumper, visible damage

Question
I was in an accident and I was with no joking going between 3-5kms when I rear ended an f150 and now
Would that hit going that slow bend the rebar because the bumper looks like I was going 60-70
And the f150 there was no damage what so ever.
Thank you for your time, very much appreciated.

Answer
Hi Fadi!...Damage is obviously dependent on speed, but also dependent on angle, height, and how a vehicle is constructed...From your description of your vehicle, having mentioned it has a re-bar, and not a steel bumper, it obviously has a bumper cover...To determine if the re-bar was damaged, you will need to remove the cover to assess it...Also, did the F150 have a trailer hitch?...Did you possibly run straight into that?...If so, this is probably why there is no visible damage to the truck, especially at 3-5 km...Hope this is of some help...If you have any other questions, please write me back...Thanks...Dave
