Auto body repair & detailing: 1969 Camaro rear quarter mis aligned, 1969 camaro, rear fender

Question
Hello, I got robbed on eBay. (So what else is new, right?)
I bought a 1969 Camaro from Texas. No rot, no bondo except on the pass side rear fender. I looks like it had been replaced and was put on crooked. It is off by 1/2 inch to far forward and 3/4 higher at the rear tip than the other side. The car is otherwise straight. I have a quote just to cut off and weld on a new quarter and prime it ready for paint. Price does not include panel. I'm scared to get robbed again. What should this cost? Approximately is fine. Thanks

Answer
CORY... YOU COULD EXPECT $800 OR SO DEPENDING ON THE SHOP RATE AND SO ON.
THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS WHAT WILL THE SHOP FIND AFTER THEY CUT THE QUARTER OFF?
THIS IS NORMALLY A TIME AND COST BASIS.
MEANING AFTER THE QUARTER IS CUT OFF I MAY FIND RUST OR IMPROPERLY PLACED INNER STRUCTURE THAT I WILL HAVE TO MODIFY/REPLACE IN ORDER TO GET THE QUARTER ON. THE SHOP SHOULD BE ABLE TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT HOW MUCH ADDL THAT THEY WOULD NEED .
