Damaged area
I have a 1973 VW bus that is in generally pristine condition. I was struck on
the left side in front of the wheel well by a motorcycle. Not too much
damage, but can't find anyone here in NJ that does sheetmetal work. However
I was told that if I could find the panels (skins) that it could be done. Any
thoughts or recommendations on how to proceed? Any ideas where these
parts can be bought?

Answer It's hard to believe no body shops in your area want to work on your vehicle, the way the economy has been lately. Before I would replace these panels, I would do more research on collision repair and restoration shops in your area. The damage does not look that serious. Maybe there is mare that I cannot see, but it looks repairable.
Worst comes to worse, Google your van several different ways to find parts, also, you can go to car-part.com for almost any used part.
If you were in the southwest Michigan area, I could fix it.
