Auto body repair & detailing: for a class report, louis lamour, good luck with your report

Question
what edu. do you need? where can you get the edu.?what does it pay? do you need special training or tools?why did you choose to do this career?

Answer
Hi Allen,

Most of my training has come through the company that I work for. I have attended many different seminars and clinics along with lots of reading and listening to other professionals in the industry. I have also had much hands on experience from working with the general public. In my opinion, the best thing for anyone's education is books. I recently read a book by Louis Lamour entitled "Memoirs of a Traveling Man". The book was about Louis' life and how he got to be such an accomplished man. Louis read every book he could get his hands on. He looked at each task in his life as a learning experience. Louis didn't go very far in school but was a very well educated man. I personally believe that a person will learn far more in life if he/she find a strong interest in it. For example a person who thinks they might want to be a doctor but hates science probably will never make it through college.

As for the question why did I choose this career, The answer would be I didn't choose this career but rather this career chose me. I actually thought I wanted to be a diesel mechanic when I was in high school.

Quite honestly, I personally would never pick a job based on pay alone. You have to be happy with the job your doing or life will be miserable and for me I love my job. I love dealing with people and being a help to them. With that said, a job like what I do pays anywhere from $30,000 - $60,000 a year depending on what part of the country you work in. Good luck with your report Allen and best wishes for your life.
