My wife destroyed the passenger side mirror backing out of our garage.  I purchased a mirror (power, same as original)from Checker and would like to attempt to replace it myself.  How do I remove the door panels and get to the mirror connections or would you recommend me not attempting it myself?  Is there a downloadable manual I can get?

I don't know what kind of car or truck you have, so all I can do is give you a general idea.
Look around the edges of the trim panel and under the switch plate for screws, also around the armrest area. Carefully pop off the panel and replace your mirror.
You may need a trim removal tool, cheap at most auto parts stores.
