4Runner Damage
I have a '97 4Runner that had a tangle with a small tree on the driver's side. From what I can tell, it will need a new hood, bumper, headlight, fender, core support, etc. Fortunately the tree just missed the frame rail. Replacing all the bolted on parts is no problem, but how would I go about repairing the inner fender well? It appears to be welded to the body and is reinforced. The total deflection on it is about 6" to 8". Does that type of thing just have to be cut off and replaced? Is it normally pulled back into place? Thanks.

Answer
Depending on how bad the damage is and it looks bad, I would replace it, that's part of your structure and usually should not be straightened. Call a body shop and see if they will come out and look at it and give you an estimate on pulling and repairing or replacing the inner structure.
