HI MIKE,I HAVE A 2001 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 SHORT BED NO WHEEL FLARES THAT WAS STOLEN AND INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. IT NEEDS MULTIPLE BODY WORK, BUT I AM HAVEING TROUBLE KNOWING WHAT TO DO WITH THE BED OF THE TRUCK. ALL SIDES OF THE BED ARE INTACT EXCEPT THE PASSENGER SIDE. I HAVE PRICED USED BEDS AT THE JUNK YARD AND THEY RUN OVER 2000. MY QUESTION IS MUST I REPLACE THE WHOLE BED OR CAN YOU GET JUST THE SIDE PANEL. AND IF SO WHAT IS IT CALLED SO THAT I CAN RESEARCH A PRICE ON THE INTERNET. A MAN BY THE NAME OF GEOFF WEST WROTE IN ABOUT IT ON THIS SITE TO BILL AND WE HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM TO REPAIR.THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.  RICHARD

You can buy just the bed side panel, there are several after market companies out there that sell these parts. I use rockauto.com quite often and have had pretty good luck. See if any of your auto parts stores will sell after market collision parts, you would save a bunch on shipping that way. Check the salvage yards, most will sell new after market parts, save shipping there too.
