Auto body repair & detailing: dent in door, home owners insurance, passanger side

Question
Dear mike,  my child ran into my neighbors car on his bike.  he made a small dent and chip in the passanger side door about the size of the tip of your finger.  the neighbor just got an estimate to have it fixed for 750.00 and 11 hours of labor.  this seems unreasonable.  i believe the truck is a 2003 toyota.  it is white but he says that becase the dent is in the pin stripe it costs more.  the car is also already in the body shop having the front end redone due to an accident that he was in.  does this seem like too much?

Answer
Maybe around $350.00 plus the stripe and that is figured  high. Contact your home owners insurance, they should cover it or tell him to sue you. He is being greedy.
From now on, teach your kids to stay away from with their bikes. I used to go round and round with my son about that. They don't understand the cost of fixing just a little scratch.
