Auto body repair & detailing: how to fix a broken bumper, luck mark, duck tape

Question
Hi Dear Expert!
Yesterday it was too icy-slippery to abruptly stop, and I bumped into the rears of another car. The other car didn't even get a scratch, while I ended up with a half meter crack on my plastic bumper.
I thought of a duck tape, a glue or other plastic repair kits.
How do I actually repair the crack? I don't think the glue will hold it, and the duck tape doesn't look to esthetic on an almost new car.
Please help,
Eugene

Answer
Eugene-

You will almost certainly have to have the bumper cover replaced. These plastic covers can be repaired to a certain extent but what you are describing sounds to be significantly damaged to be repaired. Expect an estimate of 50700 dollars for the average cover with refinish labor and materials. Good Luck- Mark
