Auto body repair & detailing: 93 Ford Explorer damage, color match, person work

Question
A car hit my right front bumper, grill, and bent my hood.  I couldn't drive it due to the bumper turning inward.  It was repaired by an individual.  What can I do or what form is there to protect my rights if the job wasn't done to my satisfaction?  What should I look for when test driving it before signing a release form for the work done?  I am from Texas.

Answer
Do you know this individual? Was he recommended by a friend? check to make sure all the parts have been replaced as estimated. Type of part paid for,OEM, aftermarket or used(LKQ). Look at all your body lines near the repair, check for color match, test drive and listen for new rattles and squeaks and make sure the car drives straight and does not pull to one side. If have not heard anything bad about this person work, then you should be ok.
