Auto body repair & detailing: replacing radiator support, radiator support, fan shroud

Question
Hi mike, my name is Matt and i just recently hit a deer with my 97 Nissan
pickup.  I removed the bumper, driver side fender, radiator, and fan shroud
without a problem, however i need to know the best way to remove the
damaged radiator support

Answer
Your core support is spot welded in. Remove the other fender. You will see small indentations, about 5/16" in diameter. These are spot welds. Drill a 1/8" hole in the center of the spot weld. Drill 5/16" hole half way trough the weld. Do not go all the way through unless it's through the old part, then it will not matter. Lightly chisel the old part out. Clean the area very good so you find all the spot welds easier.
