Auto body repair & detailing: solvent pop, ppg deltron, metalics

i have recently sprayed a vehical with ppg deltron base and transtar clear, everthing came out great except some solvent pop on the hood (little white specks) at first i thought it was an improper mixture in the base as it has some heavy silver metalics but after closer look its deff. in the clear, this came from a force dry to soon and not letting the clear "fume out"  at least thats my take on what happened...  my question is this? I have sanded down the clear with 180 / 320 / 400 hit the base in a couple spots but overall its just the clear down thus far, can i now re-spray the base and clear to refinish the hood? or do i need to take it all the way down to the primer and start over again priming, blocking etc???

The spots you cut through will need primered and sanded, the rest will be okay- how much clear did you put on? 2 coats through a quality HVLP gun is plenty. I highly suspect you over applied the clear. It's a common mistake. Apply the clear shiny, but don't flood the hood with excessively heavy coats of clear. Bill
