Auto body repair & detailing: Car door wont open without hitting the car panel, pontiac firebird, tricky operation

Question
Hi,
I had to have a tire changed, and now my door won't open all the way. There is some rust where the guy had to put my jack. It opens about 6 inches, and hits the panel of my car. Is there an easy fix for this, or how much do you think someone would charge me for the fix? The car is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird. Thank you so much, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
Michelle, you really need professional the help of a pro. There are special tools for prying the fender back into position, and its a tricky operation at best. Especially without damaging the paint. The shop can also touch up any damaged paint, and will be able to mix up your color right in the shop. I can't give you a price on repairing it,  can't see the damage, and I don't know the body shop labor rates in your area. have a great evening. bill
