Auto body repair & detailing: Damaged 96 Ford Contour, ford contour, mechanical shape

Question
My daughter's Contour is in excellent mechanical shape, and until recently, physical shape.   She was hit by an uninsured driver, and now I need to repair her car.  The right front fender was ripped back, the hood and bumper damaged, and the right headlight assembly is bunged up.  I can locate parts on the internet, for a total of about $500.   The question is, is there a single source for this car to tell me what the exact procedures are for repair?   It appears to me that it's a simple procedure of removing nuts and bolts, but is there more to it?

What about painting the replacement parts?  Any advice for a do it yourselfer??

Thanks!

Answer
John sorry no source but it is just like you said just remember to replace in the order you remove them.the order is hood, headlights, bumper, headlight header panel, then fender, make sure to look at the inner structure behind the fender and make sure it is not bent if it is you my have to take it to a body shop they shouldn't charge you much if you already have it torn down and they just straighten the insides and you might try looking for parts the same color as your car the color will be on the drives door or on the drivers door jamb.if you can not find them the same color you might take it to a paint store and have them mix up your paint for you.
