Auto body repair & detailing: Frame Damage Chrysler Concorde, inner tie rod, chrysler concorde

Question
Hello Ernie, I have a 2000 chrysler concorde lxi, I had a small accident where I drove into a curb on the drivers side. I busted the tire and in the process ended up bending the lower control arm on the driver side, the subframe/crossmemeber, and apparently the driver side strut also. After I had replaced lower control arm and subframe, the tire is a bit closer to the wheel well than the other side. Is it possible I may have bent the actual frame a little bit?

Do you know of any suspension parts that when bent can do this result? The handling and steering of the car has changed and the car appears to be a little lowered on all fours and the driver side tire is facing outward to the left very little and the bottom of the tire is pushing inward a little bit. I have a feeling that the car will need replacement of all four struts and strut mounts, inner tie rod bushings, subframe bushings, and possible power steering belt, because of all the stress I have caused on the wearing parts.

Please let me know if you have an idea of how much it would cost to straigthen a slightly bent frame on the drivers side, and if you think replacing all these parts and bushings would be necessary? What do you recommend I do to the car for a complete repair, car has 116K on it, but runs well and good condition.

Answer
It sounds like the knuckle assy. is damaged. To check this you need to take a wheelbase measurement.Do this by using a tape measure to check length on similar points on the wheels, for example the center of the hubcap.Make sure the wheels are straight first.I am pretty confident this is your problem.
