Auto body repair & detailing: repair fine scratches, 3m rubbing compound, clearcoat

Question
Can you please repeat what you said in your last email in simpler terms. i am not an expert and therefore not familiar with the terminology you used.

Answer
I apologize, If you get sandpaper that is of 1500 grit, and it is called wet or dry meaning that you can use it with water. Put the sandpaper in water for about 5 minutes. The take a sanding block and block sand the scratches until they are gone. Do not do this too aggressively or you can sand thru the clearcoat. The take a buffer and use 3m rubbing compound at slow speed and slowly work the dull area where you sanded back to a shine. Do not keep the buffer in one spot to long or you can burn the paint. Hope this helps.
