Auto body repair & detailing: front bumper, auto body paint, flexible substrates

Question
i am replacing my front bumper and i have to repaint it to factory color, what do i have to do in order to start painting and how do i remove the old bumper and replace the new one

Answer
I would have to see the bumper to determine how to remove it...usually you unbolt it from the frame...take it to a work bench and separate the injection mold bumper from the metal framed bumper.  Then , attach your new substrate onto the metal bumper frame.  Then re-attach the bumper to the frame of your car.

Just take it off...it will make sense to you in your hands.

As for paint, bumper paint is a special paint designed to for flexible substrates.  Its a two part catalyst system that any auto body paint store can help you with.

Basically, you are messing around with a complicated part and process that is generally to tough for the average Joe to take on.
