Auto body repair & detailing: Sun Damaged Paint, grand marquis, delamination

Question
Hi Ken,
I have a '96 Merc Grand Marquis; Medium Wedgewood Blue in color.
The car spent most of its life in the Las Vegas area and there are
several spots where the paint has turned a chalky white and is
raised as though blistered. Ther areas affected are the trunk lid
(small spots on either side with little or no 'blistering' effect) and
the roof where the damaged area is larger (4X6 inches approx.) and
the paint is white and very rough and raised. What can I do myself
to correct the condition or at least improve the appearance? Thank
you for your time.

Answer
Hello sorry it took so long but I was on vacation. There is not much you can do to stop the delamination of clear coat. It will peel off and get worse. sorry this is not the answer you what to hear. The areas you talk of need to be sanded to the factory primer at least than reprimed and repainted.
             Thank you for the Question.
