Auto body repair & detailing: repairing and painting plastic, smooth coat, fiberglass repair

hi,

i was wondering if it is possible to have the rear fairing on my motorcycle repaired and repainted. i'm not as concerned with the little cracks that the fairing has, as much as i am about having a piece of plastic preped properly(if it can be)and painted. is this possible? as far as the cracks go, are there any special glues that can be used, and then be finished for final paint?

 Sand all paint off with 180 grit. The cracks may just be in the paint, if not fill in the cracks with a product made by SEM for plastic and fiberglass repair. Sand this smooth.  Coat with a urethane primer, then paint the desired color and clearcoat.
